Easy Steps to Decrease the Effects of Plastic Bottles on the Environment

Plastic bottles are such kind of goons who are responsible for the ocean’s most pressing environmental problems. We do understand that around the world there are many places where these plastic bottles are the only medium of transporting water and here one bottle is reused countless times. But this is not considered as the actual cause of pollution the major issue is when 6 packaged plastic bottles are bought only one gets reused and the rest 5 of them are being thrown in the oceans or end up in landfills. Plastics take a lifetime to decompose, but within this lifetime it causes massive destruction and menace to the environment and its living beings.

In our daily lives, everyone uses plastic materials because we all think that these small little things have made our lives much simpler than ever, but we are not at all aware that these little things especially the plastic bottles are creating quite a mess in the world and causing a menace all over. There are millions of effects of plastic bottles on the environment as well as on the human body.

Half of the world’s plastic bottles are made out of petroleum or natural gas which are later processed by the use of energy-intensive techniques that is destroying the fragile ecosystem around us. Plastic materials are killing the flora and fauna near us they are creating a non-destructible pollution on land, air, and water. Many research has shown that microscopic plastic materials are spread over the world which is making more menaces that we can simply imagine.

Apart from all other ways, there is only one way to control this destruction. We just have to reduce the use of plastic bottles in our daily lives, this helps to save the planet at any cost.

Some simple and easy steps will help us to reduce the all over usage:

Stop Buying Bottled Water

When we are planning to go outside we should always carry our own sustainable and reusable water bottle instead of buying one from the nearest local store. If we make this an avid habit then we will be successful in reducing the use of harmful plastic bottles and reducing plastic bottle pollution at the same time.

Use Reusable Bags

Every minute we tend to use nearly one million plastic bags but we do not know this that a single plastic bag can take one thousand years towards the path of destruction. If you are unable to find reusable bags to carry your grocery materials then do your cloth bags which are easier to carry and they are reusable at the same time.

Stop Chewing Gum

When we feel like chewing something other food we try to chew gums. Gum was actually made from the tree sap known as chicle which is a kind of natural rubber. But later on, scientists recreated this gum by reducing the use of natural rubber by the help of polyvinyl acetate, synthetic rubber, and polyethylene. So, we actually do not know whether we are chewing plastic or some toxic chemicals which can cause ill effects in our body.

Use Paper/Cardboard Over Plastic Bottles

We all know that recycling paper and cardboard materials is easier than recycling plastic materials. So, instead of carrying plastic bottles and using them, we can simply use paper cups to drink water, tea or coffee, we can even carry packaged food in paper or cardboard box as these products are biodegradable materials and good for nature.
